The LÄNGSEE-MOOR …

… is situated in the south of Austria – in the heart of Carinthia.

... has a total area of 17 hectares.

The part of it used to produce ALPIN HEILMOOR EXTRACT™ (AHE) was accredited as a Heilmoor in 2016.
AHE is extracted in accordance with strict specifications and our innovative and sustainable concept.
This extraction is accompanied and comprehensively documented by external environmental experts (“Umweltbüro Kärnten”)

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION PROCESS

PREMIUM ORGANIC developed an innovative AND sustainable extraction process for its patented ALPIN HEILMOOR EXTRACT™.

We PRESERVE THE MOOR'S CO2 RESERVOIR by keeping the topsoil intact.
Extraction only takes place once a year for two weeks, which gives the Moor time to regenerate.
The quarrying process is gentle and MINIMAL INVASIVE, using only temporary construction roads and protective fleeces and always WORKING IN A HYGIENIC AND STERILE MANNER to avoid contaminating the Heilmoor.
We already DEWATER THE MOOR ON SITE and return this Moor water directly. The water management concept is completed by replenishing with natural spring water to keep the Heilmoor moist and thus healthy.
Resource-saving BACKFILLING continues even after the patented (chemical free) production of AHE: all remaining material is also returned to the original Moor to conserve resources.
By creating MOOR-BIOTOPES at the quarrying sites, biodiversity (Flora & Fauna) is increased, and the Moorland is revitalized.
This long-term quarrying and RENATURATION plan, developed and constantly monitored by experts, enables a complete REGENERATION of the Heilmoor.
We further ensure transparency and sustainability by being COSMOS-, ECOCERT-, NATRUE- and VEGAN-certified.
